The Saturday before Christmas

We woke up this morning with the best case of bed head ever. I'm not sure if you can tell, but the entire back and top of her hair is standing on ends. It was pretty funny and completely unable to be tamed.
We braved the crowds and went to WalMart on the Saturday before Christmas. Here's what she ended up wearing, mainly because of the hair. This is the one time of year when you can get away with putting things like this on your child...oh, and Halloween.
Here she is with the tree and presents. She didn't care about the ornaments, and she didn't care about the wrapped presents. But, she wanted to touch every little light.

We went to the Zoo Light Safari as well. It was 40 degrees, actual temperature, so that is pretty cold to us Alabamians. She was very bundled up. Very reminiscent of A Christmas Story. She loved it, though. There were over 5 million lights, so that kept her quite occupied.
**You might notice the pacifier. Ever since about the age of 3 months or so, Avery would have nothing to do with pacifiers. She actually thought they were toys. The day before yesterday she found one of her hospital pacifiers (a MAM) and started sucking it like a real pacifier. It was for a newborn, so when we were at WalMart today, we purchased the bigger size. Instant best friends. Some of you might think that I'm crazy since she was already done with pacifiers, but I am loving that there is something that I can give her when she's sad or mad that will instantly quiet her. For now, the paci stays!!
