Labor Day and a Boo-Boo

The day before Labor Day, we went to the playground in our neighborhood to play, and Avery got so excited and tried to run on the concrete sidewalk. She tripped over a crack and landed smack on her little face. It was quite pitiful, but not much crying compared to what it looked like at the scene of the accident. Here are some pictures of her in her patriotic Labor Day festive attire as well as a picture of her little chewed up bottom lip, upper lip, and nose.

Not the best picture, but I think that she looks so much like a little girl rather than a baby in this one....

Here she is front-on and sucking in her bottom lip. It doesn't look so bad in this picture, but it's the one that captured the lip wounds the best. Her nose actually has a scab on the underneath, end side. We're still not completely sure how all of those parts were affected with one fall. It was pretty pitiful!
