Thanksgiving

We had a great Thanksgiving spent with family and friends. We spent a majority of the holiday break up in Nashville. The weather was unseasonably warm for most of the time, so that was a little strange. We did some shopping on Black Friday (at 10am....all of the things on our short list were still at the store!!) and went to Opryland to see the Christmas lights on Saturday. Avery was very much into "Giving" (Thanksgiving) and turkey and all of the festivities that come along with it. On Thanksgiving night, there was some pretty serious Just Dance going on, and she was right in the middle of it showing off her skills!

Avery attempting to use her spoon and fork. Notice the concentration on her brow. This is a skill that I have put off on purpose...quite simply because I prefer to feed her for time's sake, both quickness and mess clean up. We're working on it though!
Avery got to sit with a friend, Lyla Beth, and share the Thanksgiving meal with her at their own little kids table. So sweet!
Avery at Opryland enjoying all of the sites and sounds. She LOVED it! This has been a tradition of Matt and me for many years now, and we were so excited to include her this year.
She was so proud to stand in front of the big tree and have her picture taken.
Just trying to give a little scale to the size of the tree. Those present ornaments are large wrapped boxes, and the round ball ornaments are the size of soccer balls. As you can see, the green bow is the same height as Avery!
Happy Thanksgiving!!
