One Month Old!

Ansley was one month old this past weekend and will be 5 weeks old tomorrow. Time seems to move a lot quicker with the second child! Ansley is very different from Avery. They don't really look alike; although, I can see similarities when sleeping. Ansley has a head full of brown hair and lighter blue eyes while Avery had blonde hair and almost-black navy blue eyes. Avery was already on a schedule/routine at this point, and Ansley is on somewhat of one but not where she needs to be or where I want her to be. She has quite a temper. Avery rarely cried as a baby, and Ansley cries quite a bit. Avery was not a cuddler, and Ansley prefers to be held close. Avery was small at birth and is still small today while Ansley was a tad bit bigger at birth and seems to be gaining weight much more quickly. She is already out growing her newborn clothing (because of length) and is just about to out grow newborn diapers (but we're going to try and use up what we have!). She sleeps well at night...wakes up 1-2 times to eat. She's smiling already...mostly at the ceiling fan or television. She is beginning to coo, but this is very inconsistent and sporadic. She has already endured a head-to-head collision with her sister and didn't even whimper! Avery is growing to like the idea of having a sister more and more each day. Avery is more interactive with Ansley now, and it's fun to watch her have compassion for her sister or be concerned when she is crying or share a very special toy with her. I think that they will be great friends! Sadly, one of my and Matt's favorite pictures from both children is the all-out screaming crying face. Here's what we've got of Ansley so far.... Her hair cannot be tamed! It is crazy all of the time. A little curly on top and straight as a board on the sides. Poor thing....
She already loves her paci! Of course, I bought all Nuk pacis with Avery, and she ended up preferring Mams. So, I bought all Mams for Ansley, and she prefers Nuks. Typical!
They do hold their little hands the same way. We have multiple pictures of Avery holding her little hands like this...
